| Are there any plans for Sony PlayTV HD Does anyone know if Sony have any plans to update their PS3 PlayTV hardware so that it will work with Freeview HD which launches later this year? I am considering getting a PS3 mainly for bluray and using it with PlayTV as a HDD recorder, but don't want to commit to buying one at the moment if it's never going to support HiDef. |

| Re: Are there any plans for Sony PlayTV HD i dont think SDTV cards can magically support HDTV with a firmware update, its only £40 now anyway and i think hdtv freeview is about at least a year off or two! high def will take ages to get a full channel line up, eveyrthings so slow    |

| Re: Are there any plans for Sony PlayTV HD Apparently the HD service is going on freeview in October as they are doin some channel shuffling to make space, I am sure I read it over on a digitalspy forum, it seems quick as I don't think there are any freeview HD boxes out yet, freesat seem the way to go for freeview HD, slot of people are rating the humax foxsat HD box but that will set you bakc 250 quid. Shame the play tv wasn't built onto new slim ps3 but we have had that discussion over in the ps3 forum  |

| Re: Are there any plans for Sony PlayTV HD I think they made an announcement which I think I read on cnet, but it was a while ago. It will definitely be a hardware rather than firmware update though |
