    Samsung 22" Showdown...why should I buy a dedicateTV, instead of a TV/Monitor combo?

I'm currently on the look out for a 22" TV for the parent's bedroom. It needs to have built in freeview and I like the Samsung models so was pretty settled on this:

    http://www.ebuyer.com/product/143850 <--- 22" Monitor/TV combo with built-in freeview 1680x1050

However my parents went to a local TV store and the owner was trying to disaude them from buying this as it's "not as good for TV as a dedicated model" or words to that effect. This wasn't to try and win him a sale, as he coud've provided it. Is this view correct? Do dedicated TVs have picture enhancing aspects which improve the preceived visual quality for the viewer, comapred to combo TVs?

The two models he was trying to push were the Samsung 22" Series 4 or the Samsung Series 6 22" Both of which have a lower resolution, but do they have any benefits over the Samsung T220HD?

Could really do with some opinions on this!

If its just for tv watching then a 720p dedicated model will be best. It really will make a difference on sd viewing.

Maybe the series 6 is the way to go then.
