    List your 2 Channel Hi-Fi setups.

    Here we go - 2 channel only, front left and front right speakers, thats all you need! What kit do you use to listen to music?

    Please list your:

    Sources (CD/DVD/Vinyl/MP3/Minidisk/Tape/Reel2Reel)
    Amplifier
    Interconnects
    Speakers
    Speaker stands if needed
    Speaker cables
    Anything else.

    Also tell us what plans you have for the future, upgrades etc (i dont mean if you won the lottery i mean what you are actually planning to do)

    Cheers

    Here is mine:

    Left Turntable: Goldring GR1 2004 model upgraded with Rega P3 bits
    Right Turntable: Thorens TD150 MKII 1972 model
    CD: Marantz CD5000
    Tuner: Marantz ST4000
    Amp: Marantz PM4000
    DVD: Reoc A5
    Interconnects: Van Den Hul PB5 Hybrid
    Speakers: B&W DM601-S2
    Speaker Stands: Alcatama Nexus
    Speaker Cables: QED Silver Anniversary Bi-wire with Ixos Banana plugs.

    The system is undergoing big change at the mo, i am in the middle of making myself a valve power amp to go with the pre amp i also made (you can see the litte silver box in the middle is the preamp).

    Cant wait to get my valve amp done, its gonna sound awesome

    Nice setup

    I rarely listen to music on my setup, it's built pretty much mainly for movies. But sometimes I do. I don't have a dedicated system.

    My dad's hifi however is for music, and I use it sometimes.
    It consists of:

    Arcam Delta 290 Pre-amp (I think it's the 290... Lol)
    Arcam Delta 290P Power Amp (again I think it's 290)
    Arcam Delta 2x0 CD player (can't remember the exact model)
    Linn Keilidh speakers
    Linn cabling, incredibly thick and heavy. Lol

    haha, and your storage unit is called something like "oopli" and it's from ikea. I have the exact same one.

    as far as my set up goes, it's a fair few years old now but goes along the lines of

    amp/tuner : sherwood R525 receiver
    cd : kenwood DPF2030
    minidisc deck : Sony JB940
    Speakers : Eltax monitor 3's
    DVD : Some cheap philips thing i got for £10 when i bought a phone
    Interconnects : can't remember and dont wanna pull it all out
    Cables : Some cheap Gale ones from richer sounds
    also : cheap aiwa vcr, cheap proline 28" tv and pace freeview digi box (never given back from when i worked at itv digital)

    as you can see i didnt really have a lot of money when i built it

    Preamp schematic?

    I currently have a half-built gainclone (but it's five channel so doesn't count) and when thats finished I'll be starting my preamp, which is likely to be OPA134 based...

    Hi Audiophiles

    My Hifi consists of;

    Skybox->
    Sony DVD ->
    Meridian 200 series CD transport (old) ->
    Meridian 566 20 bit DAC ->
    Audio Analogue Bellini Pre amp ->
    2 x Audio Analogue Donizetti power amps (1 drives left and right bass other drives left and right treble) ->
    Opera Callus gold Mahogany speakers on Slate audio custom made stands.

    Looking into getting a turntable soon again...

    This was bought over 3 years (amp, speakers, new CD, stands dac, 2nd hand) CD transport is old and needs servicing but might get a new SACD or DVD A one soon.

    oh what site can host some photo's of this lot for me please?

    This is my setup (in theory ) It doesnt work because the amp never worked properly since i brought it a few months ago and have been trying to get it replaced ever since . Anyway thats another story.

    Trio, one of THE most respected audio manufacurers of yesteryear.

    Interesting to note, little Japanese/Asian mentioned despite there obvious benefits.
