    The Princes Bride

In an ingenius move a mate of mine bought me this film on dvd for my birthday - my birthday was in January. I have never seen it before but it is bloody brilliant.

The film is excellent, and it is inconceivable that anyone can argue !

My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die.

    Truely a classic film!

have you had a few brews mate ??

Its pretty late now, and if not. Why Not ?

They just don't make kids films like this anymore. fo0king Harry Potter... killing the little cool ones like this. The goonies, Ferris Buellers day off, Ghostbusters !

I have seen all these recently and they still rock.. Plus. Who could forget Back 2 the Future....

Nobody who listens to busted.. thats for sure. I am waiting for their next song about a teen wolf..........

Apologies for a little ramble. but I have been staring at my computer for a good ten hours now. I have a REALLY big document to write and I have just hid the midway point - 21 pages and counting. At least I have the time to sit and listen to old movies !

    *edits*
Kids films in the loose sense that you can watch 'em when you are ickle, but anybody can enjoy them. The best recent example is shrek.

This film has one of the best sword fights in a movie IMHO. but did you know that the moves and techniques they name whilst fighting are NOT the actual moves they do?

And just when I thought I couldn't get any more geeky..........

I'd say that it is one of the best fencing scenes, would have to go some to beat the final fights in seven samurai or the one in the middle of Sanjuro, or the restaurant scene in Kill Bill.

Both of the books are worth reading (Princess Bride, Buttercups Daughter) - though not in the original text (Morgenstern), the author has a thing about trees amongst other things.....

There's also quite a long story about the books / films involving Stephen King of all people, but I shan't bore you with it

I think the funniest bit from the whole fencing scene though is right at the start when he tips that great pile of rocks from his boots.
