Hopefully we'll get GITS2 out in the cinemas, but its not like the series' apparently. GITS 1 series comes out on dvd this june, the special edn has DTS sound and the OST!
Vamp d and bloodlust are very good, but trippy movies. Im not gonna go into more cause there are so many. Ive got a large backlog of preorders at dvdpacific.com, of which im adding bloodlust to now ( :cries: cause bindi has no money for dvds he needs) series id recommend are: Wolfs Rain, Kiddy Grade, Full metal alchemit!!, full metal panic and fumoffu, gunslinger girl, peace maker karogane, witch hunter robin, escaflowne, bebop, last exile!!, x, eva, rahxephon, chobits and chibits ova, trigun to name but a few ![]() Im gonna resist adding more ![]() Edit: Wolfs rain box set also has teh OST and is worth looking into, also R. O. D. the TV (you have to watch the 2002 ova first) is another great series and the box set of that comes in a book stylee case! ![]() I wasnt a fan of the first appleseed movie, infact i think it sucked but this movie looks too cg really for my liking. Im not saying its well done, it looks incredible but im not creaming my pants over it nearly as much as gits 2. edit: anyone seen soul hunter ? the whole 26 episode box set is £16 and im curious to what its like and if its worth its cheap price.
I dont like sig pics so i turn off sigs
Which doesnt help when i dont know what ive written here! DOH!

i got pretty bored of the "end of the world", "big gun" and "mecha" genres, they seem to have been done to death.
these days i prefer watching miyazaki films (spirited away, princess mononoke, etc) or other quality feature films (metropolis) rather than the famous yet ultimately boring ones (GITS film, Akira). |

GITS series is very different from the films: very socio-political, but still anti-terrorism with great character development and storyline, not "am i still human" like the original GITS movie. I agree, i get bored of mecha and "how can the world end this time" movies. Studio Ghibli films are incredible i have to agree
![]() Other good movies: Tokyo godfathers and perfect blue, both by the same director and not your usual thing.

Perfect blue does mess with your mind, you have been warned. I also found the GITS series alot better than the movie and fully recommend it. I know this is a thread about anime movies but i would also recommend Serial Experiments Lain.Very very strange.

i watched all 13 episodes of lain in one go
well, 1 toilet break brain hurt for a bit. at least i watched the dubs, doubt i could have coped with watching that many weird-ass subbed shows in one go perfect blue's not bad, it's certainly amusing. i just prefer something a bit more "cute" these days. kids films, sorta thing. oh, and am i the only one for whom Pokemon the movie takes on a completely new level of meaning when totally drunk?
