Thumbs down Sick of subliminal advertising

So we have the big brother eye, hell's kitchen, and the BBC will start soon no doubt.

I thought they weren't allowed to advertise stuff like that? Or do they show it just long enough to be permissible?

I've had enough of them, and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

IIRC, subliminal messages would be just one single frame, whilst the Big Brother advertisements are several frames of animation. So with subliminal adverts, you don't actually see them, but your brain does. Or something... I'm not clued up on the matter.

They are annoying though, I'll agree with that

True. They're not allowed to do single frame things etc.

What I'm saying is they're bordering on subliminal to the point of them annoying me.

agreed they are annoying, but can be fun too, i put a single frame subliminal message into one of my college films at the start of the year, it just flashed up during the film saying "fred's a tw*t" with fred being one of the guys i was working with on it,who was doing his best at really pi**ing me off.

Ooh this brings back horrible memories of that flash animation with that music that gets gradually quiter and the instinct is to turn up the volume... Then all of a sudden you hear this mighty great scream and see this picture of a mutilated face

My god I've never come so close to falling off my chair, crapping myself, having a seisure and a heart attack, all at the same time
