Saw the two first episodes of CSI Vegas, and was blown away by how stupid they were....they kept on making these 'revelations' about investigating crime scenes that I suppose were meant to have some kind of 'wow, isn't amazing what these cops think up' but you just the most obvious bits of pap imaginable.
Really made me cringe after hearing all the hype about how intelligent the program was and what an amazing insight it gave the viewer into criminal investigations. No offence, but how idiotic must the American viewers be to find such tripe to be anything other than obvious week after week. |

CSI nut. Watching miami right now on monitor 2. Miami is definatly worse than vegas as 'horatio' annoys the hell outta me with his constant use of the sunglasses as a way of expressing his points. I.E. "Right punk i know you killed the man with the clock {pull down glasses} and your going to do the time {replace glasses}" Arghh he annoys me to hell. Anyway whats this i hear about NY CSI. Sounds like a google search to me. Oh and if you like csi you gotta watch law and order straight after.

is horatio an ex-model by any chance? is it me or is he always looking off into the distance with his sunglasses on?
yeah I often watch L&O after but not as religiously as CSI. think grissom can be rather ammussing when he just pisses around and eye's up the women in the lab, smooth guy!

I prefer Miami as it seems to be filmed in a lot higher quality than regular CSI. The image quality looks far superior, it's a lot more colourful, etc, etc. Far more enjoyable viewing experience. At first Horratio annoyed me but he's kind of grown on me, but I kinda like it a lot due to Speedle, he rocked in Empire Records

When I watched the first few episodes of the original CSI, I didn't much like it, so didn't watch most of it. Then came CSI: Miami, which I quite enjoyed, such that I became hooked. Once that season ended, the network started airing the next season of the Las Vegas CSI, which I deemed to be poorer than CSI: Miami, but watched anyway. Now that that season's ended and we're back to CSI: Miami, I find that Horatio does indeed annoy me, and that I liked Las Vegas CSI more. Can't make up my mind, can I?

I agree with Oakey, miami has a nicer feel to it, less "deathy". I find horatio funny, the way he models and does that voice when he says things like "was it worth it? i hope it was because now your going away for a loooong time."

I like them both pretty much equally; I've always quite liked David Caruso as an actor, and William Peterson's been severely underrated. I loved the Vegas episode where Tom Noonan made an appearance as a somewhat demented magician; "Don't trust him, Grissom, he's The Tooth Fairy! He'll start playing "Inna Gadda Davida" any minute!"
...Of course, Miami has Emily Procter, not that that has ANY bearing on my thinking in any way, shape or form... |

I don't think it has anything to do with the colours of Miami (although it does add to it), but I get the feeling it's filmed in a more superior format, possibly High Def. Unless everything filmed in Miami comes out like that as Bad Boys 2 has the same feel (although I'm pretty sure that was filmed in high def).

I probably like the original more, but I usually forget to tape Miami when I go down the pub on a Saturday, so I don't catch it very often. I don't like the photography in Miami, it's too contrasty and saturated.
I liked it more when Grissom was the main focus of it, they seem to have gone to a more story led rather than character led approach recently .Rich :¬) |
