    A question for ya'll

Been having an argument at work about horror movies.

I reckon that Halloween is just about this guy who goes psycho on Halloween etc etc.

However, someone else reckons that its got a bit in it where all the kids put on these pumkin head masks, but when they watch a particular tv program or advert or something it makes their heads melt.

I can remember seeing something like that but I'm sure its not Halloween, for some reason I keep thinking of a leprecaun and some silly ditty of a song that has something to do with a silver shamrock which was palying during this tv show/advert and melted the kids heads... anyone got any ideas?

well it definatly ain't haloween, haloween is about mike myers going pyscho and chasing babysitters.

I don't remember seeing a film like the one you described , might be worth googling some stuff about films like leprachaun and pumpkin head though as i know there are numerous sequels for both of them that i havn't seen.

    Yep - Its Halloween III

This was the 3rd installment but didn't involve any teen slashing - it was about the 'Silver Shamrock' company that produced masks for kids, on those masks was a silver shamrock badge that would turn the kids head into a bug-fest when the company broadcasted its special Halloween program.

So yes, it was one of the Halloween series, and no it didn't involve Michael Myers, and lastly..... its crap

I never understood why III actually happend. :/ It didnt beling in the series of movies. The writer just came up with a story line and thoght the only way to get people to go see it was by putting the halloeen name on it and sell it as the 3rd installment.

Yeah I remember that one. Its these masks that have electric things in them and when this thing appears on TV the whole body goes all weird and snakes and stuff comes out and kills the person ???

I remember the song on it : 3 more days to halloween, halloween, halloween (REPEAT add nausea), Golden Shamrock. At this point also there is a pumpkinhead on the TV screen flashing on and off with noise that matches which activates the mask things that does the snake thing.

    Its pretty weird !!

Mind you they did carry on with Michael Myers after that for another 4 films, one of them he managed to possess a kid to do the killing. They done the same as Highlander though when they released H20 as they ditched the other 4 4 so it went from Halloween 2 onto H20. Then there was Ressurection last year which was kinda ok but that was it.
