| The Best Thread of the Week :) Me and Sair discussed it last night and I think you lot are to be trusted with the subject ![]() If you were a Film Director/Producer and you were gonna be dumped with a new TOP CLASS SCRIPT, which you knew NOTHING ABOUT AT ALL, but you had to plan the Sound Track.... WHO WOULD YOU APPROACH and get on board to do the Sound Track? You are allowed to pay three bands/musicians a retainer, and the money is not an object, so dont fret it. This film is gonna walk all over everything ever. GUARNATEED..but ONLY if the sound track is right. Which THREE BANDS/MUSICIANS do you choose to cover all aspects? You'll only be allowed to use one, and you can choose them after you find what the script is, but mean time. WHO ARE THE THREE Remember, dont discuss what the film might be...or what you hope it is. Just the bands...and gibe reasons for each. If you want time, post your first, then come back and add a second later, in a new post. So...get your music heads on, your hormones plugged in, and your heart in your hand. I want the kinda stuff that made Highlander sound so good with Queen. The kind of stuff that makes City of Angels good because of the Goo Goo Dolls. I want sex, power, speaker domination, CD sales by the trillion, people sobbing in the isles and watching ALL 3 DVD versios again and again ![]() Agent = Hardware Homosapien | Zak33 = Hardware Homonid - just call me "Lucy" |

| How could you possibly plan which bands/artists you would approach without knowing what the film is about? I don't think you could cover all aspects of all types of film with just 3 bands/artists... If cars had followed the same developmental path as computers, a Rolls Royce would cost £60, get a million miles per gallon and explode once a year, killing everyone inside. |

| Chemical Brothers, Green Day, The Streets i recon they could be pretty versatile and cover plenty. peace if war is the answer, then we are asking the wrong question 2 things i hate the most - xenophobia and the french "chuffing" |

| stop being negative....try ![]() Imagine three bands who you could totally trust to come up with the goods. Lets face it...Queen at their peak could do anything. Even classical. Come on...stop putting up objections and open your heart (and music collection) ![]() Agent = Hardware Homosapien | Zak33 = Hardware Homonid - just call me "Lucy" |

| Real Ultimate Power! | Metallica for one due to the fact that they have dabbled in the classical side of rock, plus they could chug out some killer riffs for fight scenes etc Prodigy could be an idea due to the fact they must of covered most things from over the years. Devon Townsend basically he just a produced a whole album based around the theme of movie music so he would be an obvious choice |

![]() I would choose The Prodigy though, Smack My Bitch Up for a hardcore porn chick flick (wouldn't that be fun)... If cars had followed the same developmental path as computers, a Rolls Royce would cost £60, get a million miles per gallon and explode once a year, killing everyone inside. |

| Easy,... Faithless (Credits: "Don't Leave" from A Life Less Ordinary) Craig Armstrong (Credits: "Balcony Scene" from Romeo and Juliet and the whole soundtrack to Plunkett & MacLean) Red Hot Chili Peppers (Credits: Not done a soundtrack yet (that i'm aware of), but if there's one long standing band around at the moment that can seemingly walk on water it's the Chili's) Would imagine that Craig would do the main soundtrack, while Faithless and RHCP provide more feature tracks so to speak... And to direct them all would have to be David Arnold. Originally Posted by The Mock Turtle System:Atari 2600 CPU:8-bit 6507 (1.19MHz) RAM:128 bytes Colours: 16 (4 on screen) Resolution: 192x160

| Slipknot for the action and also some of the mellower scences (especially after Vol 3) Tori Amos for atmospheric, kooky-ness and my band [manymore] for the sex scenes ![]() seriously though, maybe NIN/Trent Reznor for some more diversity Chili Peppers have done a track for a movie; Love Rollercoaster covered for Beavis and Butthead Do America |

| My thought train has been (so far) "Counting Crows" for their ability to suprise me with warmth and mellowness and yet power. "Metallica" for reasons already stated, and the ability to change direction if need be. "Iron Maiden" because ....because......Bruce is back and the band are still superb IN THE RIGHT ENVIRONMENT...but thats my doubt... can Maiden change direction sufficiently? if the film turned out to be slow and mushy?Prob not. I shan't say Marillion cos ......Sair will want to ![]() Which leaves me struggling for a single artist.....not that I NEED to a get a single artist. hmmm.....still very hard..but ace fun thinking it through ![]() Agent = Hardware Homosapien | Zak33 = Hardware Homonid - just call me "Lucy" |

| Cold Play? I'm gonna have to borrow that lettuce leaf of yours zak ![]() My three - Metallica - Without question, possibly one of the greatest bands of all time and the record they did for MI-2 was top notch. Slipknot - Purely for action scene's, my plaugue suited resident evil down to the ground and they have the added bonus like metallica of being able to do some brilliant acoustic stuff. Am tempted to say NIN, Chemical brothers or Pink Floyd for some diversity but I'm not sure........ ![]() |
