    The Terminal

So, anyone else seen this yet? I've just got back from the cinema (after a very long day up in London already) and I must say, I thouroughly enjoyed it! Tom Hanks played the part brilliantly and was very funny.

Anyway, am too tired to write anything else about it, or give anything away (not that you can give anything away about a film set in one place) so I'm now going to bed...

    Night night.

If cars had followed the same developmental path as computers, a Rolls Royce would cost £60, get a million miles per gallon and explode once a year, killing everyone inside.

I await your reviw bud....cos the trailer we saw was superb.

In fact...the 30 seconds of trailer were better than the entire of the "other film that we shall not name"

OK, not really sure what you're expecting, but all I can do is be honest. There was not one point in the film where I was bored, wanted it to hurry up or though that it was dull. The whole film was solely based around Tom's character and he played him extremely well indeed.

I've always thought of Tom Hanks as being one of the greatest male actors alive but I've always had a little niggle about his ability with accents, or sticking with them. Now playing a Russian character I thought he would also struggle with this, but he actually sounded like a Russian and didn't once lose his accent. Even when shouting!

The film really draws you in close to Viktor and you feel his every emotion, loneliness, sadness, hope, happiness and isolation, all acted very well. Catherine Zeta-Jones and the three other main characters (Viktor's new-found friends Enrique, Gupta and Joe) also play their parts well.

There are an endless amount of hilarious moments but I won’t ruin them for you. Just make sure you keep an eye out for Gupta in the background of the meal scene.

I never go by what the reviewers say or other people as we are all different in our tastes, so I don’t expect any of you to go out and watch this just because I liked it. If you like to be entertained by a brilliant actor and great supports, with humour a plenty, then you won’t be disappointed.

If cars had followed the same developmental path as computers, a Rolls Royce would cost £60, get a million miles per gallon and explode once a year, killing everyone inside.

I should probably watch it before having any apprehensions on it, but you have to wonder about a movie that gets 1 star out of 5 in a recent review - not that I go much by reviews, but that's a pretty poor rating u gotta wonder.

Tho Tom Hanks is inherently funny, he's not really had that kinda character for a while, and alot of his recent movies are of those long drawn out ones which are a 50/50 gamble as to whether its really worth it.

Just as indication, what movies do u like that you could class as similar of "if you liked this, you may also like . . . . " ? It may help me decide whether or not to watch it

Hmm, that's a tough question. I don't think it's like any other film I've seen. I was gonna say it could be similar to Forest Gump because he's lonely, an outcast if you like, but it's not really like that... That's a really difficult question to answer! I'll have a think about it.

Neither my girlfriend or myself can believe some people gave it 1 or 2 out of five for ratings.

I thought the film was fantastic as Allen said, you seem to experience every emotion victor goes through, and seem immersed in the film. Gets 8/10 from me

It's amazing, I haven't found anyone yet who has actually disliked this film, despite what the so called 'critics' say!!

I saw it today. Stuff the critics. This film is fantastic.

Funny, emotional and entertaining. There was not one moment where I was bored. Watching the build up of Viktor's character was fantastic. And that meal scene with Gupta was hilarious
