What - do you want to listen to a station (which is easy), or make your own (which I know nothing about)?

    starbuck's system
live365.com allows you to create your own station and broadcast it but you have to pay a small subscription fee first.

I do know everything, just not all at once. It's a virtual memory problem.

    www.winamp.com and www.shoutcast.com
there are comprehensive docs on them, and it should be pretty easy to set up as long as you can follow the instructions.
You'll need a soundacard and a good internet connection and off you go!

Yes you have a 1mbit DOWNLOAD connection, your upload (what is important) will be 256k which isn't really good enough, you will be able to have a bout 4/5 listeners at a time.

Your in England and you have 10 down and 1meg up?
    1. I dont really believe you tbh. I find that very doubtful indeed. I think you might be wrong. Go and read up and learn some stuff... www.google.com would be a good start
    2. If you do have that connection, and can afford it, why not pay someone to come and sort it all out for you?

Maybe a bit of a harsh post, but it annoys me when people cant be bothered to think for themselves. I found the manual and faq for shoutcast very straight forward and simple to follow. Maybe you should just try it.

If you come back with some specific questions I will be more than happy to help you.

The only feasable way he'd have that connection is either through a business or a university.

Either way I'd check the T&C of the internet access to check your allowed to do it.
