bit of a mixed bag, mastodon were terrible imo, somethings wrong there as they're pretty good on the cd i've got. Hatebreed were just what I expected and a welcome change in quality.

Now onto the big guns, Slayer kicked ass in a major way just as awesome if not better than at download, screaming my way through postmortem has gotta be highlight of the night tbh.

Slipknot im still undecided about, to be fair I was knackered from slayer but they just didn't have the impact i'd expected and I've decided that the old stuff is definatly better live than the stuff off the new album.

ok, well i missed masterdon and most of hatebreed

as i walked into the arena he goes ' this is our last song, its called i will be heard' brought a smile to my face only saw the one song, but it was good, cant really judge them off that tho

as for slayer , pretty decent - i missed them at download as they got stage moved, and i was busy watching someone else ? cant remember who tho, but they were pretty good live

i was thinking kinda the same too about slipknot, a bit undescided, i prefer the older stuff too, ive got all 4 albums, mfkr is alrite, slipknot, better, iowa, probably on same level, maybe just below slipknot, then the new album, which im not so keen on

first few songs were from the first album, or i didnt recognise them anyway, wasnt really that keen, they stepped it up a bit, and probably the best bit was spit it out love that song plus they did the same at download when they made everyone jump up - ended it now the 3rd time ive seen them on the same song, surfacing, which is pretty good, i think i prefered the second half of their set, the first half, being a bit boring, and new

bah, im babbling crap now, i must go to bed

Slayer were on at about the same time as slipknot and the start of korns set, I made my choice then and im glad I did it that way tbh as I'd rather have seen slayer twice than slipknot, just more of a slayer man I guess.....anyway I'm starting to ramble now aswell, should prolly go to bed, I've got work tommorow night

I arrived just 5 minutes into Slayer's set last night, and then spent 10 minutes at the bar (is it me, or were the bar staff in the side bar unbelievably slow?). I must say, they were amazing! I saw 'em at the first UK Ozfest, but i appreciate them more now im a foot taller

As for Slipknot, I personally really like the latest album, but some of the songs don't come across as well on stage. It's hard for me to pick out highlight songs, as 90% of them were, but i was impressed with how 'Vermillion' sounded live, and 'Surfacing', 'Heretic Anthem' and 'Eyeless' were awesome!

All in all, a pretty good gig, even tho the vest i bought was expensive, and i swear it was made for girls...

Wouldn't call em better meself but good for you

Silence, I like the new album but as you say its the way the songs come across on stage, vermillion and duality did well but pulse of the maggots and Three Nil just weren't too good tbh.

That's because Sid was doing James' bits as well...

I admit tho that James doesn't seem to do much onstage, bless 'im If say Joey was the one who had to return for surgery, i doubt the tour would have gone on.
