    Great film. Really good film.

The firefight in the street outside the bank is so intense. Mike Mann's production was spot on!

The meeting over coffee that they have before the job is surreal. Facing off like that, could only be DeNiro and Pacino. Classic.

I've got a copy on DVD as well.

The chase down the main street with guns is awesome.

Two great actors in one film

I remember seeing Heat when it was 1st released
in the cinema....I was with 2 m8,s who didnt
apperciate it at all (they wanted to walk out of the cinema..lol)
I loved it, from beginning to end....even thou I can
understand why some people might find it slow going
    in places.

I reckon it's got a good claim to being THE best cops and robbers film ever made; awesome performances and action, gripping characters. I mean it's not action all the way through because they develop the characters, show them as people with real lives (could be why your mates found it slow), but it IS awesome. Also the direction is great - Heat plus Manhunter ought to have sealed Michael Mann's rep as a great filmmaker.

Pacino and DeNiro...quite hard to improve on that really.

Maybe Mr Blobby to finish it off

Heh, i've only really liked the film for the big gun fight. The Pachino V De Niro thing never seemed to work for me. Still an ok film, the gun battle is out standing.
