    Shaun of the Dead

    Expectation 5/10
    Actual quality of film 8/10

Combined effect 10/10. Funny, in places hysterical, and really very gruesome.

Anyone else seen it? Made me laugh in so many places. Just ace. And would watch it again straight away too

its an awesome film... I have it on DVD and watch it for the many numerous comedy parts.

I cried laughing when I first seen it with the "white lines" scene and also the record throwing scene - comedy genius at work.

Oh by the way there are rumours ( rumors for our US readers ) that the sequel is been filmed and its called " FROM DUSK TILL SHAUN "

Bought it the other week, same here expectation 5/10 overall 10/10...

Saw it reviewed in some free supplement in one of the Christmas papers and they rated it as the best DVD of the year 2004, as to be the best DVD it MUST have great extras. Boy does it, the extra features on the DVD are worth the money alone; extended scenes, outtakes, video diaries, comic strip explanations of the plot holes, extra footage they shot, interviews, making of... I spent as long if not longer watching the extra bit as the film... the way DVD should be

Oh, and the film itself is hillarious

    Yup, loved it
It was a "cinema film" though, its much much better to be there at the big screen with your mates and everyone around you laughing

Loved it - pure comedy class imo

I love the scene in the pub with the pool cues...

That bit had me howling also, I liked the whole garden bit full stop, where he takes a look by walking up the steps on a childs slide, where he uses the mini trampoline to get over the fence to get his mum, especially the bit with the ball spike thing where he hits the zombie with the ball then realises to use the spike instead !

Favourite bit though was when they were pretending to be zombies.

Bought it on day of release, I think its a great movie, I read in one of the magazines at work that a sequel was planned from day one.

Its one of the only horror type movies my other half watches also, we both love it and have watched it numerous times, pick on things we missed previously. Howl at it everytime we watch it.

Had a mate staying over and we dropped by the DVD rental and got it out as there was nothing else to rent really. Best choice we made in ages. So bad it was brilliant. It is better when you have someone to have a laugh with while watching.

Loved the bit where he wanders to the shop in the morning and just doesn't notice everyone zombied around him Even gives the beggar zombie some change.
