| Can I run two Sound cards? I have an on-board sound card that is currently disabled and I have an Audigy sound card fitted. The problem I have is that I use my PC as an HCPC and in that case I feed the s/pdif output to my Home Cinema receiver. I also like to listen on headphones when my wife is sleeping but at the moment I have to keep changing the settings to swap between digital output and headphone output. Could I re-enable the onboard sound and use that for the headphones? Thanks Dave |

| Yes you can ![]() Simply swap between the cards in the Audio Properties in the control panel applet - Sounds and audio Devices when needed. I do the same with my Logitech USB 20 headset that installs itself as its "own soundcard" and the digital audio on my Asus A8N motherboard without any adverse effects or problems. ---- Why do Computer Scientists get Halloween and Christmas mixed up? Because Oct. 31 = Dec. 25. |
