    what's the name for the pic of new york skyline with workmen sitting in front of it?

    Was watching extreme makeover, home edition earlier. They put something in a bedroom which I thought was cool. It was a picture of a skyline(I'm guessing new york) with workmen sitting in front of it on a bench type thing(can't remember exact name for it).

    I know it's quite famous but anyone know the name of it?

    I do know everything, just not all at once. It's a virtual memory problem.

    Are you sure that's the Empire State Building? Because that looks like Central Park in the background, and Central Park is a lot further away;

    yes, it definately is. the park is still that far away, but remember when the esb was built it completely dwarfed everyone else in the area.. the other buildings were 'only' 10 or 20 storys high, which meant that you can see the park fine..

    i went there in feb, and watched the sunset from the top... absolutely stunning imo..

    I don't think it is the ESB. In the B&W photo you can quite clearly see Central Park is much closer and larger than in the colour photo, of which I took from the top of the ESB just 2 months ago.

    The hotel we stayed in was 30 stories high and that was built in 1929.

    It's the Rockefeller Centre;

    There's another one that's an ariel view of a couple of people working right at the top of the ESB and it really gives people with a fear of heights a heart attack! You can really see how square everything is when looking directly down, quite scary to work that high I would imagine!

    If cars had followed the same developmental path as computers, a Rolls Royce would cost £60, get a million miles per gallon and explode once a year, killing everyone inside.

    That's actually less scary to look at than the one I'm on about. Gonna do a quick search for it...

    Oh yeah, and dare we ask what all that "stuff" on the window is? Get a bit excited about being that high did we? Wanted to join the solo mile high club?
