5.1 Speaker Setup I've just got myself some Logitech X530 5.1 Speakers, and work fine with the 6 Speaker surround sound test file. Thing is, when playing music from winamp, it only comes from the front left and right speakers, and the sub. Is this just what happens with music playback, or have I done something wrong? All 6 speakers would be nice

http://darthno.ytmnd.com/ music is stereo.. 2 channel music shouldnt be played on 6 speakers. Thats why SACD and DVDA were invented (btw for all you pervs DVDA isnt what you think, it's DVD-Audio)

there is a plugin to solve this problem, if you try an MP3 in WMP and it does 5.1 you need to get the winamp plugin from winamp.com to allow 5.1 playback (simulated) m@

Got a creative card ? If so, go into the CMSS control panel and set the mode to 'duplicate stereo', (or its along the same lines anyway). Dont bother using CMMS 1 or 2, it sounds rubbish. That will mirror anything thats stereo into the rear 2 speakers. This will make it work in all software that has stereo, such as old-school games, not just one application

| Yep both Creative's and Nvidia's drivers offer a "clone" mode. I personally think it sounds horrible and always listen to music on my PC in normal stereo through the 5.1 setup Home cinema: Toshiba 42XV555DB Full HD LCD | Onkyo TX-SR705 | NAD C352 | Monitor Audio Bronze B2 | Monitor Audio Bronze C | Monitor Audio Bronze BFX | Yamaha NSC120 | BK Monolith sub | Toshiba HD-EP35 HD-DVD | Samsung BD-P1400 BluRay Player | Pioneer DV-575 | Squeezebox3 | Virgin Media V+ Box PC: Asus P5B | Core2duo 2.13GHz | 2GB DDR2 PC6400 | Inno3d iChill 7900GS | Auzentech X-Plosion 7.1 | 250GB | 500GB | NEC DVDRW | Dual AG Neovo 19" HTPC: | Core2Duo E6420 2.13GHz | 2GB DDR2 | 250GBx2 | Radeon X1300 | Terratec Aureon 7.1 | Windows MCE 2005 Laptop: 1.5GHz Centrino | 512MB | 60GB | 15" Wide TFT | Wifi | DVDRW |
