Not a good idea, Coldplay is almost in the same league of pooness...

Ive not heard X and Y, but wont be buying it, coldplay irritate the hell out of me, fair enough, some of their songs are technically pretty good, but there just too slow, boring and monotonous for my liking Not only that, Speed of sound is a rip of clocks with different lyrics, got something that works? Keep it ? Next we will have the crazy frog motorway remix :\

Anyway, I felt it was really really mediocre considering it was Coldplay. So much so I've only listerned to it twice, any more and my ears will bleed!

Jsut finished listening to the album, more of the same from coldpplay, but there are a few jems. With all there albums for me they tend to be the gerneric coldplay song, and then the really good ones, the new album has less of the later, but if your a coldplay fan your sure to like it!.

hmm loved brothers and systers.. liked parachutes.. thought there were a few good songs and a lot of not so good songs on rush of blood.. don't know about wether i will pick this new one up or not ... is there an online store that allow you to preview full tracks/ that way i could get a feel for which songs i like and which i dislike

Does the rest of the album get better than Speed Of Sound? I'm not a massive fan, but have enjoyed some of thier stuff when listened to at the right time. But Speed Of Sound - does music get any duller than this?

I'm sure die hard fan's will love it, as it's more of the same by the sounds. But they do indeed need to change direction.

Personally if I had to buy one album this month it woud be Forever Faithless (greatest hits).

all i can say is i love it. Fix you is truly the gem on the album!!! but the whole album is fantastic.

if you havent listened to the whole album please dont comment because you cant have a genuine opinion without hearing it in its entirety!!!

speed of sound IS very average... the album isnt - believe me

It's Weird because I'm a massive Hiphop fan (Fiddy cent,G-unit,Eminem and so on) I've always liked Coldplay (Trouble,clocks...) and when i first heard Speed of sound I soon said to my dad "It's clocks all over again" but now I love it and can't wait for the album

IMO, yes, theres some much better songs toward the end. Its not as good as the other albums no. I saw Faithless a few weeks ago live, best gig ever. Gotta get the Dvd edition of the greatist hits sometime.
