I'm going to the Cardiff concert. Really looking forward to that, with the roof closed it should be out of this world. (The killers are supporyting).

On another note, did you have any issues getting cameras/bags into the ground you were at?

I went to another gig in Manchester - Reel Big Fish.

Why do they rock so hard? :-)

Please please let this not turn into a "my music is better than your music" thread. They get nowhere :-)

A couple of friends went to see U2 actually and said they enjoyed the show too. with SOAD playing as well, last night was a good night for rock music in general in Manchester, regardless of what rock genre you prefer. Hooray!

I wasnt trying to turn it into that Personally, Reel big fish are one of my most hated bands, they irritate the hell out of me but if you like them then thats fair enough, I can see why there popular they've got some damn catchy songs.

If you headed to the after party at jillys over the road they did a joint party for people who went to SOAD and RBF, might have seen you there

Didn't go there TBH. Were SOAD good? I've seen them before at the Academy and they were pretty good then... it was the tour when Dillinger Escape Plan supported them. What sort of a show did they put on? I saw Rammstein* at the arena in february, and although i'm not normally a fan of arena shows, the entertainment value was spectacular

    * they annoy the hell out of a lot of other people too :-D

I know Rammstein annoy a lot of people Mainly because they can't understand them - I think there prety good personally, wish I'd had a chance to see them live apparently they put on a great show, with pyros and all sorts.

System were really good, better than I expected anyway. I missed them when they did the academy tours (2001 ish?) Cos my local Birmingham academy was sold out on both dates

They got supported by 80s b line matchbox disaster, who I thought were utter dire, they didnt do anything for me, anyway - to system.

They did a mega set, nearly 2 hours and player near enough everything, all the new album bar a couple of songs, same again with toxicity and a few off their new one I think, and some off the self titled. There were only about 2? I think off Steal this album, Mr Jack and Roulette IIRC, but it was a blinding show, me and my mate were staring at this massive 20 metre high mesmerize cover thinking wouldnt it be a brilliant idea if they played soldier side (the intro to the album) then which is pretty slow , then drop the curtain down and play track 2 - B.Y.O.B, and to our suprise, guess what they did
