I find it funny that people have been taken off e-bay for trying to sell the tickets for anything upto £3000. Why can't people sell their personal tickets?

    that's the chicken!!!

They can. In fact eBay are donating thier listing fee's to Live 8. If i won tickets and could sell them for the money people are paying on eBay, i would sell them and i don't care what any of the do-gooders say.

Cause it's meant to be a charitable event? It's like people a shedload of cash from selling those stupid wristband things.

However, I totally disagree that people think that selling Live8 tickets is somehow exploiting people in Africa, though I'm open to suggestions of how that is the case.

Anyway I can't be one to bitch about selling tickets, though I wouldn't do it as a way of making cash, I'd rather go to these events. It is with a lot of regret that I'm going to have to sell my Eden Session Keane tickets.

Because they've bought them with the sole intention of touting them on for a big fat profit, now thats all fine and dandy for any normal concert, but for a charity gig to raise awareness for 3rd world poverty ? Not really on.

Taking advantage of charity for profit isn't morally right.

Sure it isn't morally right, but it always has and always will happen.
If I bothered to enter and won, i'd probably sell them and donate about half of the money to charity. Ends up doing a lot more good for those less well off than thousands of people going for free.
Pretty damn silly giving away the tickets, looking at basic economics - Geldof is not a very bright man in my opinion.

Wrong! Ebay are not allowing the sale of live 8 tickets anymore. A disgrace I think but there you go.

    Probably.

There donating the listing fees? Thats what? 2 quid, when people are making thousands! They should donate 90% of it, then itll be a charitable event, plus people who sell them for 3 grand still get a fair bit of moolah

People aren't selling them for thousands, Geldof told people to go out and bid ridiculous amounts on tickets so no-one can sell them.

You're forgetting the final value fees.
