Vinyl to PC :-) Looky what I found?

    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...roductID=71372

Now IF I have this right....its a Pre Amp input, and a USB2 output.

SO in THEORY with the software, you can record your vinyl to your PC without messing about with amps and phono to mini jack and the relevent editing.

    I THINK that's it anyway.

If it IS, I think Scan will do OK with these

And it's Terratec, so should be good on results as well.

Yep - that's just what they're designed for. Think they even come bundled with restoration stuff.

If you wanted something more comprehensive IIRC they do something called the Phase 26 aswell which is geared towards media production aswell.

And for those needing a soundcard, the DMX 6Fire has a breakout box that does phono-in and has restoration software as well.

edit: Superseded by the Aureon 7.1 Universe, similar capabilities, though.

That's what I did when copying my mum's old cassettes to CDs for her car; The results were alright on the tapes that weren't knackered. SoundForge can make it work quite nicely

Its not a bad card for the price although if you want good quality you can do ALOT better, tbh your better off using a proper audio CD recorder, then ripping the CD.
