    Renting Data Projectors

Anyone had much experience with these and renting them?

Birthday is coming up and my friend has his really close as well so we we're thinking of renting a projector and setting up a pseudo cinema in my backyard. Link up a projector to the PC with the 6.1 Surround Speakers and see how it goes.

Can it be done... can it be done outside?

What sort of cost would be involved? I figure we would need a projection screen as well so that would have to be factored in.

It can be done, and it has been done . Used it to watch Die Another Day up a wall, no screen involved (ghetto++). This was a brick wall as well. Get a screen if you're bothered, personally I'd leave it or use a sheet, you're gonna damage a screen trying to put it up on an outside wall.

yeah, we did it at uni and watched team america. Was great, here's a picture of our hi-tech weather condition control center.

Once it was dark enough it was brilliant, even on a wall.
