New Röyksopp Album - July 4th

Been listening to some samples of this, and about 30 seconds later had pre-ordered the 2CD version from Amazon.

This is a lot more vocal than Melody A.M. but the ambient magic which made the first album is definately still there.

Definately one to listen out for, even if you aren't a big fan of electronic music.

    I hate you

Edit: And at Koko as well. What's the venue like?

Hot and sweaty at this time of year.

The venue is pretty decent though. There's no real seating but there is a series of about 3 balconies to view the gig from. It's just under £3 for a can of lager there, which isn't the most I've ever paid. I think they must have recently refurbished it because most of it looks nice for a concert venue.

The sound system is OK - lots of bass but a little muddy.

Overall, I'd say it's nicer than the Astoria, but no-where near as nice as the sadly now defunct Hackney Ocean.

Yer The Forum in Kentish Town was very hot when we went to see Mr. Scruff (was on a randomly hot Friday in March), but that could also have been due to the amount of people in the place and the lack of any real air conditioning. Sound was pretty much spot on for the type of music he played though. Venue itself was a bit shabby, but it's about the music at the end of the day.

There was a time when I'd spend half my lunch break in Plastic Records (small record shop in St. Albans) listening and buying Ninja Tunes stuff, so I'd say so Not as heavily into it as I was, but Mrs. Cruff and Keep It Unreal are getting played as much as ever, and I'm really wanting Keep It Solid Steel Pt. 2 to appear. Hopefully this one will have some of the DnB that Carthy got into his Keep It Solid Steel nights.

They're playing a special one-off gig in August if anyone is interested.

Yes, but it was ment in the plural. I should have put " 's " rather than " s ".

If we want to really picky, it's actually "Ninjatune", OR "Ninjatune's".
