mp3 player for up to £40

Looking for a good mp3 player for my dad for up to £40. Ideally it wants to be 512mb or more and I was looking at players from creative, iriver and rio.

    Suggestions?

i don't know about branded ones, but i found a friend of mine a 1gig pink one* on ebay for about £35. MP3, WMA, works as a mass storage device too.

    * "something pretty" was actually part of her criteria

Only reason I want to go branded is because I have heard some bad things about unbranded in terms of sound quality being inferior, battery life etc. What I am also worried about is that a friend had a muvo value which someone played about with and corrupted the firmware(ie giving a borked player). I was very quickly able to d/l new firmware from creative's site and fix it. I wouldn't be so confident with an unbranded player.
