Get the right cable and use audacity to record from the line-in on your soundcard?

has it got optical out? if not, you're pretty much stuck with using an analog cable to get audio out of it, onto your pc. there might be some freeware around, but i'm not aware of it.

If you have an an audigy I think you can get a cable with optical in and out that plugs in the back. My Audigy plat pro has optical in / out on the external box.

The audigy 2nx is external and works through USB 2.0

The pic even shows the side optical input being used with a minidisc

I'm confused. Why can't you just run a 3.5 to 3.5 jack cable from the headphone/line out to your sound card?
