| New DivX Player Hello, I purchased an Eltax DV-251 from http://gameloaded.co.uk/UK_Eltax_DV251_Compact_2935.htm I started it up straight away and burnt some DivX Files onto DVD. It takes a while for it to read them but it eventually starts..... Every ten seconds or so the image becomes very, very pixelated and eventually just stops, the DVD player still works as I can still press pause, play etc. but it doesn't have any result on the picture. It says it can play Divx so what do you think would be the problem? PS: I've decided that my current TV isn't up to much atall with huge running of colours and generally a **** picture. The 19" Dell LCD looks very nice, would anyone recommend that? Or could anyone recommend anything for the £300 price range? Last edited by alexander; 28-10-2005 at 09:05 AM.. |

| Does it do this for all DiVX files you play? I had this problem on something I was watching and put it down to a dirty disk. I re-burnt it and it was fine Home cinema: Toshiba 42XV555DB Full HD LCD | Onkyo TX-SR705 | NAD C352 | Monitor Audio Bronze B2 | Monitor Audio Bronze C | Monitor Audio Bronze BFX | Yamaha NSC120 | BK Monolith sub | Toshiba HD-EP35 HD-DVD | Samsung BD-P1400 BluRay Player | Pioneer DV-575 | Squeezebox3 | Virgin Media V+ Box PC: Asus P5B | Core2duo 2.13GHz | 2GB DDR2 PC6400 | Inno3d iChill 7900GS | Auzentech X-Plosion 7.1 | 250GB | 500GB | NEC DVDRW | Dual AG Neovo 19" HTPC: | Core2Duo E6420 2.13GHz | 2GB DDR2 | 250GBx2 | Radeon X1300 | Terratec Aureon 7.1 | Windows MCE 2005 Laptop: 1.5GHz Centrino | 512MB | 60GB | 15" Wide TFT | Wifi | DVDRW |

| Thanks for the help but I burnt several disks and used a USB key all to no avail. I have phoned them up and they are going to collect it and replace it with the Yamada MX510, Hopefully this should be better. Any ideas about the TV? |

| All DivX players are not created equal...... Could be decoding problem...could be firmware issue....could be the way that particular movie has been encoded.....could be just buggered! Have a look at the dvdrhelp.com forums and also check the manual / specs to see if it has a MediaTek MT1389EE chipset (they're one of the best). |
