Smile What Was The First Film You Ever Rented?.

Was thinking about this before, and when my mum and dad rented our first VHS video recorder we had...

    The Beastmaster

    ...and...

    The Boys In Blue

...from the local hire shop. I have now decided i must own a copy of these films...what about you?.

Return of the Jedi when I was about 7. I distinctly remember it because the video shop we first went to didn't have it, but the shop, that I forced my mother to drive to on the other side of town, did. Spent all of my pocket money on that, too!

I remember renting Alien on Betamax from the newly opened video store "West Coast Video" Almost wore out the tape where it rips through John Hurt's stomach

My mum Dad brought our first recorder from a company called tempo anybody remember them i think it was 79 the guy sold us a betamax said it was the best recorder so what happens a month latter vhs wins so we brought a load of cheap videos of the local shop so the first film i watched might of been Excalibur.

Hmm, well it would have been betamax, not VHS, possibly Krull or a ninja movie of some kind - whatever I could convince my dad to rent for me (I loved those as a kid).

Definately Betamax, not sure on the film, definately remember seeing Poltergeist and Adam Ant Live. I also remember going into rental shops and them having sections for Beta, VHS and V2000
