    The Prodigy

So I'm going to see The Prodigy at the Manchester Arena later on today. Looking forward to this one more than the one earlier in the year as it's apparently more of a "greatest hits" tour.

    Woo!

They played last night in Newcastle, and you got it right, its 99% of their greatest hits and then one or two of their latest offerings.

The last band who played with the prodigy at the Apollo were Vatican 5.

They were too quiet, boring and I ended up in the bar racking up the vodka's until 4 mins before Prodigy came on.

It'll take as long as most warm-up acts to get served anyway

... Audio Bullies..... If they do a DJ set then it will be pretty sweet, but if its their normal songs they'll be much better than Vatican 5 still

All I have to do now is survive working my Birthday and then rush to Manchester later for a few drinks before and after the gig.

Now that would be a night out alright. Still trying to decide what to do for new year, might have to hook up with some mate in Manchester for that. Last time i was at Sankeys was for Geoff Mills, messy evening

    My ears are ringing.

    I'm tired, but happy

It was fantastic. The older songs probably got the best response. There were a couple of tunes that I didn't recognise, but it was a great night all the way through, even if "no good" sort of fizzled out a bit at the end.

The encore was amazing though - after what looked like a couple of technical hitches, they kicked into Poison, and then the place went wild when they played Charly. Just as you thought the crowd couldn't get frenzied enough, a huge disco ball came down from the ceiling, and Out Of Space started, and the whole place absolutely erupted. Went absolutely massively crazy. A wonderful moment, and a fantastic end to a great night.

Did you make it into work today, Lee?
