| It is true yes that the new sony is bigger than the HD5, and it is the same as the HD5 but witha different (and worse) exterior. And the metal of the HD5 is very nice. Black one yes? Originally Posted by High Contrast

| Yup! Don't forget like all these things to get a case, i recomend the cheap silicon ones u get on ebay for £5! With the sony's you get a furry case, which i use when i'm in "less dangerous" areas than the gel case, because i prefer the feal.... hmm tactilie. throw new ArgumentException (String, String, Exception) |

| I would always go for the Sony over an iPod. And the reason (apart from the battery life, durability and looks, which i think the Sony win on too) is this... http://www.pretentiousname.com/mp3players/ Last edited by autopilot; 28-11-2005 at 11:58 AM.. |

| I have a Creative Zen Touch. It's an excellent player considering it only costs £140. It may be a but bigger than other MP3 players, but for the money, you can't beat it. |

| just to stick my 2p in. Ive got an archos Gmini 400 which i absolutely adore, hooked up to my Shure e2c's it sounds perfect. Plays video files too which is handy if im bored in work (i have the empire strikes back on it). It just does what it says on the tin, everyone ive shown it to loves it. | Also ment to say the sony, as much as i hate the software, i love how it keeps my album pictures (when i ripped all my house mates CDs (in exchange for beer, he had slow laptop cd drive)he scanned all the covers.... using my scanner actually!) but it got me into browsing by thumbnail. Also if your looking at the newest sony's check out the artist link feature. I hadn't heard about that until just today as it happens. In the other thread where the applvangelists were comming out, i talked about how inovation would be something like multidimensional searching. Well guess what sony have done. I've not used it yet, so i might actually be bitterly disapointed (i'm setting myself up to be) but its a step in the right direction, and the sort of thing firmware updates can only make better. If you've no idea what I'm talking about, nip down to your local sony center get them to demo it, fall in love with it (hopefully), then haggle with the price, get pissed off and goto richer sounds, price match amazon or something, then show them your NUS card (your a student right)? It sounds really bad, but i'll be ditching my HD3 to upgrade if that feature works. (i love the idea of been able to flip around like artists swiftly). It might just be using Genre tags, which would make me upset, as mine are all horrible divergent. throw new ArgumentException (String, String, Exception) |
