| Dual monitor video playback? I'm home for christmas so have decided to fiddle around with my dads monitor for a bit of dual monitor action. Does anyone know of any media players that can stretch videos across two screens to get widescreen video playing? I can already play video on one screen with the desktop on the other so thats not an issue. All that happens with wmp10 is that when you move the window across and sit it halfway between the two screens it only plays on the original side. It then only plays on the other screen once it has been fully moved across. Thanks! |

| I coudnt manage it when I had dual monitors... gave up trying in the end. Not worth it cos of the split down the middle of the monitors cuts up the video and its annoying. |

| Basically dual outputs on monitors are have limited use - basically they can only support one video overlay, you could try using software rendering although this may make the playback choppy. Generally there isn't a way of easily (or cheaply) doing this. I have three graphics cards in my machine and windows really doesn't like playing over more than one although I've been told that could solve the problem. | Why would you want to? Big split in middle = hard to watch! I have one large screen for video and games, and a smaller one for MSN/iTunes to run in the background. |

| Yeah, when i looking into it i found you cant with 99% of cards, becuase they dont support overlays on both screen simulatainsly. - And my pc cant handle software rendering without beeing majorly glitchy. - Plus you got the whole split-down-the-middle thing. So i just DVDs on the tft, and turn the two crt's off for an hour. Daniel |
