| DVD/HDD Recorder Im looking to get a HDD-based TV Recorder in the near future. 99% of what we use our VHS recoreder for it short-term time-shifitng of programs, which are rarly stord for my than 2/3 days, so HDD recoder makes sence. - But it would also be usfull if we could burn DVDs of a few things. Ive been looking at the Sony RDR-HX510 It looks very good, and im quite tempted, even tho is sony, which sort of goes agaisnt the grain a little. Also, we curently only have Analog TV (ch 1,2,3,4&5) Daniel |

| We proberbly could receave freewiew, and might well get it soon, im currently at uni a lot of the time, and would rather be surfing the net anyway, and my parents arnt very tv people (espcially my mum, whos posotivly against the whole thing) so its just my brother sister, and my dad who gets roped into recording stuff for them (he's the one whos after recorder, having spent £50 on geting the video recorder fixed 6months ago) - Ill tell him to have a look at the panasonic units. | when my parents (eventually) decorate the back sitting room dad wants to get a nice shiney plasma, surround sound and all the other bells and whistles. I've looked at freeview recorders for them and the new ones from Sony and Panasonic that do everything they want (DVB-T, DVD recording, HD recording etc) are not cheap, about £400+. but you can get an HD only one for about £100 i think. |
