    Logitech Harmony Advice Needed

Im moving in with a mate in about a months time, and between us we have about 10 remotes, and one of these babys seems like the way to go.

I was wondering if it can be used to control a pc as well?

Were gonna be having a HTPC in the lounge so it would be convenient to have one thing control the lot.

If the harmony doesnt, can anyone recommend anything else?

    Thanks

I think they can. I have a 525 and it is very good. Go to Avforums and there are a number of threads about the harmonies, very comprehensive.

Got the 885 and works with media center just fine Takes an absolute age to configure correctly though.

I'd recommend the 525 myself though - the lion battery and colour screen are all very well, but the docks a typical logitech (put it down, squidge it around for 5 minutes before it makes contact and charges) and the colour screen ain't worth that much extra. Rest of the functionality is identical.

Now go away before I taunt you a second time.

Yeah i quite like the look of the 525 actually, and will probably be a hell of a lot cheaper

Does it come with everything out of the box to communicate with XP / Media Centre, or is there some other equipment needed?

You'll need the MCE reciever of course (which means buying a remote that'll immediately get stuffed in a draw) but thats it
