    Advice on amp/speakers

Sourced a Yamaha DSP A5 locally second hand and I'd like opinions.

Also, how about these for some speakers - http://www.empiredirect.co.uk/Conten...e~WHA-D82B.htm

to be used with tv/360 and for music

Well, I went to Richer sounds and ended up getting these - TDL KV1s http://www.richersounds.com/showprod...dc40193c159f3d

Picked up the Yamaha DSP A5 second hand locally, got it for 60 quid which I think is pretty good. Here's the setup (my first setup by the way) -

    Hi
If you are keeping the system setup like this for a while it would be worth putting 3 pea size blobs of bluetac under each speaker it stops vibration & also helps isolate the speakers a little.
Also it would be worthwhile putting the amp on a hard surface not on the carpet one of the reasons being cooling they get rather hot on the bottom and being on the carpet won't let the heat dissipate. You may find the sound improves if you do both of the above of course dedicated stands & equipment racks would be best but for now & for free this should help.
