| idd i wouldsay go for a decent brand, but this doesnt always mean better sometimes you are paying for the brand... a sony laptop and a another brand laptop might have exactly the same config but massively diff price... |

| The contrast ratio is farily meaningless. It can be usful within a range from one manufacturer, that's about it. Unless they tell you how the figure is arrived at, you can't compare between panels. You won't get anywhere near 1000:1 in a normal situation, 100:1 if you are lucky. The best way is simply to take a look at the display you are considering if possible. Otherwise you just have to rely on reviews. |
