    soundproof media cabinet?

I'm hoping to start using an Xbox 306 and an amp in my lounge to stream my music / tv etc from my media centre pc in another room.

The Xbox 360 seems to do everything i want except for how loud it is - loud enought to be noticible at quiet times in dvd's, or when music was on at a low volume.

I'm there for looking for a sylish low level media cabinet that the tv can sit on, which can also house the xbox and amp but has either sliding doors - or if possible is sound proofed

Does anyone have a similar set up to this or know of any cabinets which will keep the sound of the xbox our of my lounge!

    thanks

You're still going to need to keep it cool tho aren't you? Sealing it in a box might well cook it..

Thats true, i dont want to seal it completely, just find something that will reduce the fan and dvd drive noise to ensure everyone in my household is pleased with the investment!

i've seen the replacement fans etc but would rather look for a cabinet that could reduce the noise before i go voiding the waranty and opening the xbox up.

Perhaps there is no real way of doing this - but i wanted to explore any options that people knew of.

After reading around i think there is no way to safley put the console in any closed cabinet.
I think I either live with the noise or look at another type of media extender

You would want glass doors on any cabinet so you can still use remote controls.....they don't work too well through wooden doors
