Question Differences in Alien Box Sets?

Can anyone tell me the differences between:

    http://www.play.com/play247.asp?page...2&title=125722

    and

    http://www.play.com/play247.asp?page...7&p=57&c=&g=72

And why the second one is £5 more expensive, but has 4 less DVDs?

    Thanks

Thats really strange, prolly either a mistake or down to the fact they can get the Quadrilogy box set cheaper as its newer, anyway the Quadrilogy set is deffo the one to go for due to more extras and the fact the iirc the films are all extended directors cuts, shall be obtaining itmyself when funds permit.

Well the first and less expensive one is in DTS which makes a big difference to us Home cinema Buffs!!!

Go for that one it will sound better (If you have a DTS compatible DVD player and a decent amp)

    You have been warned!!

So, lets get this right. The first one is cheaper, has more DVD's and as such, more extras, DTS thus better sound, and is newer.

    Play have impeckible logic

You can watch each film in either their original state or extended versions.

The only actualy directors cut is for Alien.

Fincher didnt want to be involved at all because he hates Alien3 (which I like) and the french director of Alien 4 said "i didnt do a directors cut because the directors cut was released at the cinema"

It has the theatrical version and a new version that the producers put together trying to get as close to Fincher's original idea as possible.
