    What's a fair price for a Hitachi 42PD5200 plasma?

    Hi there
This is a genuine question. I have a Hitachi PD5200 plasma screen which is, I'm told, HD compatible (as opposed to ready), has DVI input, along with component etc etc (however, no HDMI input.) The screen res is 1024 x 1024.

I bought this two years ago for a ridiculous sum considering what plasmas are now going for.

It was given a 5star review in Home Cinema Choice and, to be honest, it's a great piece of kit (which is online but i'm not allowed to post a link yet as a newbie to this site!).

However I'm considering getting something more high end, specifically because of the lack of HDMI input, for both Sky and DVDs.

So, in your respective opinions, what do you think such a screen is now worth roughly (nb - it's totally scratch/p burn free) as a second hand unit?

    Thanks for your help.

    Pete

given that 42" plasmas which are hd ready go from around £1000 new - i would say £5-600 or so is a fair price - it may be better quality, but i doubt you'll get many 'buffs' wanting a non-hd plasma
