Kevin Smith & Michael Moore for me

Cant really say Ive enjoyed every single title each of those guys above directed . . . tho Kevin Smith & Michael Moore havent done a lot of films themselves, but the ones they have done are amazing imo.

I can think of some who are better than a few on that list:

    Martin Scorsese
    Federico Fellini
    Satyajit Ray
    Akira Kurosawa
    David Aronofsky
    Takashi Miike
    Ingmar Bergman
    Jim Jarmusch

I'n not really a Hollywood man

My nod goes to Kurosawa for what he did in his time.

I voted for Ridley Scott because I regard so many of his films highly and he is a perfectionist!

    Alien
    Blade Runner
    Gladiator
    Black Hawk Down

    His films are superb!

    Darren Aronofsky.

(He directed 'Pi' and 'Requiem for a Dream', and wrote a submarine horror called 'Below')
