Video Senders
I have been trying to set up a video sender, with the receiver unit connected to an LCD tv. The audio signal works fine but the picture strobes.
The unit I have been trying is a scart plug module, (type Nikkai) from Maplins. After trying 3 different LCD tv's, I am unable to get it to work. My local Euronics store advises me that they will not work with LCD tv's. Has anyone got a video sender to work with LCD tv's, and if so what make/model, or is this a universal compatibility problem? |

Video senders saga part the last.
Hi All,
After some considerable help from Audioline Products, Proception/Blake products and AEI video senders, who all receive my heartfelt thanks, I managed to establish that the Maplin Nikkai unit was faulty. As I had the Maplin unit longer than their 14 day return period, they would not refund the cost, but did allow an exchange for a different unit, which works perfectly. As the Maplin sales staff considered the LCD TVs I had tried were at fault, (All 3 of them?) and took a little convincing that the AV sender was faulty, I had hoped for a full refund, but never mind, my kitchen TV is working. If any one wants full details of the saga feel free to contact me. ![]() |

Re: Video Senders
The audio senders work on 2.4ghz so cordless phones or wifi in the area will make the signal very bad
Maplin will swap, repair or give store credit for faulty goods up to a year (this is required by law) . What you need to do is speak to the manager. It will be swapped instore or sent to head office for an engineer to look at (This is called an RTX) |
