| Country Music I've been a Dolly fan for a long long time....and Garth Brooks....and the recent launch of a double CD (bit sloppy, so bewarned) Country Love Songs, got me al moist ![]() And I gotta tellya.....its bloody great Best thing about Compliations is you hear a few people who you NEVER heard before. And some are pants, but some are fantastic![]() It starts with Shania Twain and "From this Moment" (get your finger out from the back of your throat, I warned you it was soppy) then into Leann Rimes "How do I live", then Patsy Cline, then Bellamy Brothers "If I said you had a beautifull body, would you hold it against me?"..... and then it gets surreal and excellent...get THIS Next is Elvis Costello "A Good Year for the Roses" and then K D Lang "Constant Craving" Im hooked by now...and it goes on and on..Patti Smyth with Don Henley's fantastic gruff vocals half way through. ![]() 19 tracks on Disk 1 19 on Disk 2 Dolly, Johnny Cash, Kenny Rogers, Buddy Holly, Everly Brothers ![]() and Reba McEntryre, "Talking in your sleep"...now THAT IS NEW TO ME, and I LOVE IT ![]() ![]() The Mavericks spice it up, and even Elvis didn't do this as well --"Dance the Night Away" ![]() The Judds "Love can build a bridge" Its gotta be got....its fantastic *long drawn out embaressed silence ensues* I'll....err.....I'll.....er.....get my 10 gallon hat and Stetsons and go then ![]() Agent = Hardware Homosapien | Zak33 = Hardware Homonid - just call me "Lucy" |

| Yeah....cos a lot of Pop songs are based on either old country tracks or old Rock/Metal tracks..... but then, when has that ever been different? Thats why I like Country.....and thats a bit different to Country and Western.... Heres a wierd one tho....why do I prefer ladies singing Country music? It sounds weird to me that a bloke would sing those songs! Perhaps its cos I love Dolly ![]() Agent = Hardware Homosapien | Zak33 = Hardware Homonid - just call me "Lucy" |
