Final Fantasy

I just saw Final Fantasy – Spirits Within, the movie on DivX.

That was one awesome movie with amazing graphics & music and great interpretations.

But the best was its story. Very meaningful, innovating & sentimental, that passes many deep emotions to the viewer.
I was really touched.

It’s a pity they don’t make too many SCI-FI movies like this.

One of the coolest parts is towards the end with the general. Before firing the Zeus Cannon he says with hate: “I’ll blast you all to hell!” the computer then responds & starts saying repeatedly, “Warning System Overload!” But he still fires.
The explosions on the creator are awesome.

The ending was sad as most Japanese movies are.
I’ll probably buy the DVD, as it’s been quite some time since I saw such a fascinating movie.

The creators of Final Fantasy Movie have also made the 1st episode of Animatrix.

Well Actually I'm not a Final Fantasy Fan at all I would say.
As I've never played any the Final Fantasy games.
FFVII on the PSX looks a bit interesting & the impressive space ship in FFVIII looks cool.
But that's about it.

I like FF - Spirits Within as a movie, not as a game conversion.

So I don't think I'll like this new movie.

I thought Advent Children was a game ?, Everwhere ive read about it says its a game ?

It's a movie, you can see trailers for it and everything.

I don't see how it can be based 2 years in the future from the way it seemed though, as it had the bit with Sepiroth walking through the fire, and the motorcycle bit too....

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO its going ahead... I remember ages ago i was reading about Advent Children and people were saying "is it a game or movie" .... and its a movie....but I still aint seen anything of it since like last may. The design team of FF7 said it'd be too hard to REMAKE FFVII cos its such an old game, with an old game engine etc etc...so the film is the best thing we can expect i think.

It is most definatly a movie, and will be on DVD in like summer 2005, im most definatly looking foward to it.

Is it English? the subtitles are, but what about the voices?

Well im assuming if it is going to be on DVD then you wil get the option to watch it in Japanese with english subs, or just to have english voices. Fingers crossed anyway, I would prefer to hear it in Japanese.

What would be better is it actually to be done in English....

I.e. Sub-Titles are better than English dubbing, but intial English > all.

But the creators are Japanese (just a crazy guess) and they will prob do it in Japanese, rather than English. I just think they should have the option of having it subbed or dubbed in English, that way "most" people will be pleased.
