| Wireless headphones Are they any good? I live in a flat so don't like to have music up too loud in the evenings and especially at night. I see scan have three Sennheisers ranging from £45 to £102. whats the difference really? usic is going to be coming from my Squeezebox and is stored as FLAC so the source and output are great, just wondering if i would actually hear any quality differnece between the three sets. Anyone got any advice? |

| get digital ones or you get fuzz between tracks, but otehrwise my sennheisers were great, sold them because i never used the wireless ness The main difference in price with sennheiser used to be if you got rechargeable ones or not. | I've got some wireless sennheisers. They sound very good given the fact they're wireless. Range is good, and they last a while with the rechargable battery pack. Sound isn't as good as with my Linn floorstanders/ Kora hybrid valve amp setup, but still nice. 939 3800 X2 | 2gig corsairXMS 3200C2 1950XT | 500gig,320,200,160 Plextor DVD burner | Yamaha CRW-F1 CD-drive Thermaltake Xaser 3 w 480W FSP | X-fi fatal1ty Camera setup: Canon 350D, Sigma 17-70 f2.8-4 macro, Canon 70-300IS, Sigma 20 1.8, Peleng 15mm fisheye |

| Ive also got wirless sennheisers and they are brilliant. The batteries last ages on them. I managed to use them non stop to complete a mission on city of heroes once(about 8-9 hours solid play) with only a few swaps of the battery packs |

| mine wernt, however it didnt really bother me, as i tend to only listen to mixed albums. Its not a background hiss, its a hiss when theres no noise. I imagine all the new ones are digital. | The R140 are 'closed' headphones and the other two are 'open'. Closed headphones block outside noise and won't leak sound. Ideal if you don't want to disturb people around you (though to be honest, most headphones probably won't leak enough sound for people to notice it if they are living next door with the door closed). On paper, I think many like the idea of being 'surrounded with nothing but the music' - but I must add that 'open headphones' often sound more natural. They are also easier to design (well) for the cost, which is why closed phones do often cost in some way for the isolation (either in SQ or £ or both). Otherwise, the spec sheet shows that it is pretty much the same as the R130 (goes louder, but I think I suspect it's got to do with the enclosure since it's 'closed'). The R130 do have slightly better spec than the R120 (50g heavier too). Comes with surround sound simulator and a couple of bell and whistle. Well, you can read up on the Sennheiser UK site. I've refrained from mentioning how they sound (other than the common differences between 'open' cans and 'closed' cans) since I've not heard them myself. Headphone enthusiasts would in general suggest that you stick with a non wireless version if that is an option (and I would be able to offer suggestions from the cans I've heard). |
