| a/v sender Hi All, Does anyone have any experience? Basically I have a TV in the lounge plugged into a media centre and a digibox and I want to send the signal to another TV in the kitchen. I guess I need a couple of sets of adapters? Can anyone recommend something? It would also be good to be able to add more TVs at some point - bedroom perhaps. Is there a way of adding more adapters as receivers only? Cheers... Tom |

| I would not profess to be any kind of expert on this, but I had a similar situation when we put a TV in the kitchen and had no ariel connection. I bought one of these... ![]() from here: http://cpc.farnell.com/jsp/endecaSea...sp?sku=AV07800 I chose this set purely because it was kind of "middle of the road" for price and specification. They come as a pair, one sender, one reciever (you can buy extra recievers too I think) and have the option of four channels to work on to avoid interference. In our case it only really works on channels 3 or 4 and it took some faffing to get them aligned - they have a dish type thing on top i needed to kind of point them at each other. The one in the lounge is behind the TV and the one in the kitchen is on top of the TV, so essentially you can't see them. Once they were set up they were fine though. They have a remote bit too to send remote signals ove it, but never set that up, they're only a few feet away from each other. Although bear in mind interference from... anything radio based. The microwave KILLS the signal completely, infact so does next door's microwave* actually affects it (we think that's what it is anyway) with a big thick band across the screen and loud noise. also the WiFi card on the laptop in the lounge makes crackling noises on the TV in the kitchen when accessing data which is quite surreal. If you stand in the path of the signal it can also cause some interference. Having said all this we've been using it for two years and in no rush to replace it. We don't really watch the TV in the kitchen as such, just have it on while doing things in there, and we don't use the microwave much so it doesn't justify anything more costly/substantial. Hope some of that made sense and helped. *we are in a new build mid-terrace Originally Posted by The Mock Turtle System:Atari 2600 CPU:8-bit 6507 (1.19MHz) RAM:128 bytes Colours: 16 (4 on screen) Resolution: 192x160

| Depends i suppose, we don't really use the microwave much, a couple of mins here and there to warm milk or defrost some meat and that's what interferes the most. The wireless network in our house is upstairs and doesn't interefere except when using the laptop downstairs in the lounge and even then it's only a bit of a crackling noise when data is being transmitted. We have DECT cordless phones in the house and haven't noticed any intereference from them, but equally they don't get used much either. I mean if you want to sit and watch the TV in the kitchen, you have a wireless connection on a PC in the lounge, and you microwave everything then i'd say give it a wide berth. Otherwise it depends on how much you will be watching it, how close the devices of potential interference are, and most importantly how much they will be used while the TV is on in the kitchen. Hope that helps in some way Originally Posted by The Mock Turtle System:Atari 2600 CPU:8-bit 6507 (1.19MHz) RAM:128 bytes Colours: 16 (4 on screen) Resolution: 192x160
