treating myself to a bit of everything

on a budget, of about 1500 but can strecth to 2k but will have to buy the gf more shoes.

im after the toshiba 32/37/42" LCD TV - reason being, i like them lots

but im also after a full surround sound setup and hifi system all inergrated, but dont know what i should get with it. aslong as it looks ok and sounds worth the money i'll be happy.

obviously only the 42 has the higher res, but willing to have a smaller tv if it means better other bits and bobs.

can anybody help as its doing my nut in now

Ah OK Well that little lot will certainly do you proud, it'll wipe the floor with most all in one systems you buy from high street outlets while allowing for upgradeability, i.e new speakers, etc

It's a case of how big you want/need really. I love it, the quality is superb, it looks nice and is about the right size for my room. *maybe* I might hvae gone for the 37 in hindsight, if I'd have had the extra cash but there wouldn't be any resolution benefits until >40".

So go for whatever size you need

Personally I would ditch the yamaha and go for one of these:

Much better all rounder IMO, maybe not quite so punchy on the films (but still serious enough to annoy the neighbours) but will be much nicer for music. The Cambridge Audio Azur range is fantastic. Other than that I would suggest looking on ebay for a second hand Denon and attach it to a pair of decent Rotel power amps. Much better all round.

If quizzes are quizzical, what are tests?
