Question Asus Xonar D2X - Which headset/headphones for ~£75 max?

    Hi there,

I have fairly recently purchased an Asus Xonar D2X and it is brilliant. I am RMA'ing my old HS1 to get it fixed and am going to sell them to get a headset/headphones for less than £75 for gaming (My old Plantronics 377's would be kept if they were comfortable) so I have to ask:

What headset/headphones would you recommend for this price range?
I am looking at a pair of Denon Ah-D1100's on Curry's online for £50 (Down from £90+ in store)

    Thanks!

My HS1's broke too the cable broke just above the volume control (and I looked after them and treated them nicely )

Dont fill obliged to get a headset as you can get microphones separately to use with headphones. I haven't got a new headset yet but I bought one of these mics

and I'm just using my hi fi speakers for the time being.

I was thinking of getting a set of dedicated headphones. Gaming headsets seem overpriced and of a lesser quality than true headphones. Why is this I wonder?

Maybe the 'gaming' tag. Marketing ploy to make those that play online games will have the edge if they use something 'designed for gaming' when it may be the same thing packaged differently, and sold at a premium.

I brought that same Mic and yes it works, but it doesn't block any outside noises, it picks up feedback from the headphones/speakers, whatever you want... also I find that you have to shout for it to pick up your voice.

God I miss my Mic on my PC 350's... :/
