    Which Freeview HD Box

    Hi guys,

I have just moved house and have turned one room into and AV room with projector etc. I want to get a tv set top box to watch free-to-air HD football too so I need a Freeview HD box to connect the projector too.

It doesn't NEED to be able to record (although if possible that would be nice to pause a match for a quick toilet break!).

I don't want to spend a lot as currently quite broke from all the other purchases.

Can anyone recommend a box. Sub-£50 would be nice!

    Thanks,

    Mark

    Re: Which Freeview HD Box

If you've got a spare PC laying around that you can hook up to the projector, you could go with a USB Tuner stick like one of these:

Not tried one myself, but it sounds great :-)

The USB solutions can be a bit insensitive and give mixed results.

Humax have a pretty good reputation, but there are cheaper solution under various brand names.

If you want cheap'n'cheerful, have a look in somewhere like Currys, Argos, Tesco and so on. If you want a bit more, try Richer Sounds.
