    Question Best True 5.1/7.1 Headset?

I was wondering what people would recommend for a good true 5.1 or 7.1 headset/headphones?
My brother has the Tritton Pro+ headset which sometimes buzzes in the left ear (side with cable in) and I have try to wear them and find them to be very tight and uncomfortable.

The only 7.1 at this time I believe is the Razer Tiamat 7.1, which have heard bad things about but I think only to do with its microphone (I don't care about the mic).

What would you recommend for me?

Just they are not true 5.1 or 7.1, like the Pro+ or Tiamat 7.1 headsets.

I love my Corsair 1500's. Fantastic sound quality for £65.
Virtual 7.1, Not true 7.1, but got better results in reviews, which is why I went for them.
    Not disappointed at all.

    Re: Best True 5.1/7.1 Headset?

I have a set of Sony MDR-DS6500 and they are great, but in all honest if you get a good DAC and set of high end headphones you get a pretty good surround effect without any of the pointless technology.

Ignore the marketing plop and just get a good set of Beyers

    Re: Best True 5.1/7.1 Headset?

I used a virtual 7.1 headset by Creative and a normal stereo headphone using virtual software for surround and you really can tell the difference between them and a true pair. Just the true Tritton Pro+ has bad build quality and are very tight.
