Bargain basement headset for communication only

I'm after a pair just for talking and listening, game audio comes out of big speakers so them having some sort of stuff to not have the speakers trigger the mic would be great, I hate push to talk.

I used to use the 360 headset but the mic quality is awful. I guess the mic quality is more important than the speaker quality. Any ideas ? No more than £20, it's only for GTA:O I don't play any other MP games really

For £20, pretty much anything from your local high street seller of all things PC, dishwasher and cooker related will do, right?
Might even be better off getting a standalone mic and adjusting the VOX sensitivity, so you can still use your awesome big speakers.

Yeah was hoping that there is some pair that is the current pick among the budget conscious - you always read about that 1 piece of cheap hardware that beats the pants off the more expensive competition. Oh well

There might be, but I wouldn't expect anything particular at that price.
That's why I suggested a dedicated mic, as those will likely be better for the money than a full headset.

I ended up buying a Creative Fatality headset, was on offer for 23 quid@Aria. More than I wanted to spend but meh in the long run it's not a biggie
