Does the mic boom fold away when not in use? Actually, yeah, I can juuuuuuuuuust see the pivot.
Is it wireless only, or can it be connected up as well?
WHY do companies insist on putting lighting on these things' earcups, where I'll never see them??!!

Appearance looks a bit thin and delicate... my Vengeance 1500s work great still, so I'm not immediately in the market, but I'd need something at least as solid as those.

The VOID wireless is only 2.4Ghz wireless, no option for hardline.

The logo that lights up on ear cup (like any other company now) is simple for added cool factor and most especially for brand recognition, so others can see what headset you're sporting.

My thought as well when I first saw the ID, the arm leading up to the ear cup particularly. I was a little concern that it'd easily snap because it looks flimsy, but seeing it in person is different, the swivel part that holds the ear cup is really solid and sturdy.

Does that mean when the battery runs out you have to take them off to charge them until it's charged and ready for use again? My HS2100 headset allows me to plug in a cable so I can play and charge, if what you're saying is correct then that makes it sound like it's a step back from what worked well in the past.

A feature that seems to be missing from my HS2100 and one that I'd like is for my headset to power down when my PC is powered down or enters sleep mode. Does the VOID do that?

Sorry, what I really meant was communication between your system and headset, it's only wireless. You can plug in the USB charger while you're using the headset.

As for the headset powering down when your system goes to sleep mode or when you shut it down, VOID does not have that feature. You'll still need to power it down manually.

Manual switch off is best.

The potential for a wifi device to switch off on its own mid game is horror movie one wants.

As it charges up by usb while bring used if needed you'll never need worry about flat battery.

I once,had a,wifi joystick that would "sleep"while I was,waiting for flight missions to begin....on long waits it was hell

haha perhaps in the future. We've just started getting into audio peripherals, I'm sure that there are tons of great ideas out there that are worth exploring.
