Re: A quick question about tyres

like I have already said I don't have the budget for new tyres 60 euro a tyre is still 240 a set which is more than double what I can get this set for.

And stupidly enough although they will mount them for that price you actually have to pay extra for them to balance them.

If I had the money I would buy new but the fact I was looking in a scrap yard for tyres makes it pretty obvious I do not.

As for why they are expensive here it's the same as everything else here it's a sellers market. the majority of people in this country have money so they are willing to overpay for things.

If you are in the minority like myself and do not have the money then a lot of things just get priced out of your range and you have to start looking for deals.

Don't skimp on tyres, they're your contact with the road.

Think about how much you'd spend on trainers/shoes, that's before any safety concerns

    Next to nothing

But tyres.. I get the best there is, regardless of cost (though I'll shop around to get the best for the best price).

Or get 2 for the front and get the rears when you get paid again. I have just shelled out £285 (fitted) for a set of Toyos to go on the Zafira. Best value I could get for a decent tyre. It hurt, and we've had o do without other things this month, but it was well worth it. Feels like a car again and not a roller skate.
